IN THE STUDIO

I’ve started spending some time writing songs for a new album. I don’t expect to release it for a while but the process needs to start now. It can be quite daunting as I always have such high expectations to release a great album. The songs play a huge part in that and I am seeking God to inspire a set of songs that will be musically good but also touch people and minister to their needs. I love to take the principles of the Bible and apply them to everyday life situations. One of the songs I was working on yesterday talks about a couple falling in love but how that love was not tended; like a garden falling into disrepair through neglect. There was the temptation to look outside the relationship for fulfilment, then the realisation that fulfilment would only come by obeying God’s instruction to be faithful. Please pray for me as I write songs that they will truly be God-breathed.

THE HOME FRONT

In January, my family (Tina, Daniel (5) and Sophie (5mths)) and I had our annual holiday which was quite refreshing – as refreshing as a holiday with a new baby can be!

Our church is going well and people are growing in God and in love for others which is great. We have just welcomed on board associate Pastors Phil & Ruth Carswell which is fantastic and will certainly help as the congregation has grown to over 300.
